More than $13k raised to hang Christmas decorations around West Roxbury

More than $13,000 was raised to purchase outdoor Christmas decorations for West Roxbury during a fundraiser attended by some 350-plus people at the Irish Social Club of Boston last month.

State Representative Ed Coppinger, a lifelong West Roxbury resident, helped plan and sponsor the “Raise Some Green for West Roxbury Fundraiser” held on Sept. 28. He wants his home neighborhood to start saving and get its Christmas shopping done early this year.
